Inspired to make hats by my Grandmother who was a seamstress in Glasgow, on Sauchie Hall Street..

As well as sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, cookery and DIY were all on her agenda. She made me a hippy floppy style hat. Since then I have always wanted to make hats. I love the variety of materials you can use as well as all the different craft skills to make a hat which useful, beautiful as well as a piece of art.
